History
In late October 1995, Barbara (Kindred) Shaw contacted several members of the Original L.C. Anderson High School living in the Houston and surrounding areas to see if we would be interested in getting a local chapter of the alumni started here. She received positive responses from the following persons stating that they were interested and would enjoy being a part of this up and coming chapter: Danny Galloway, Johnny Holmes, Willie M. (Jones) Moore, Barbara (Newby) Moseley, Artie Newby, Rev. Nathaniel & Brenda (Kincheon) Robinson, Arthur & Rose (James) Thompson, and Raymond Whitley, Jr.
Everyone agreed to contact people they knew personally to make the chapter a success. Joseph Reid the Chairperson in Austin, TX agreed to assist us by sending printouts of all schoolmates in the Southern Region of Houston and Louisiana areas to contact.
