June19th Houston Chapter’s Alumni party held at the home of John & Verna Harris.

On April 18, 2009, the OLCAAA Houston Chapter held its Annual Legacy Lucheon and included a Fashion Show for this year.

Our Houston chapter’s very own, President Raymond Whitley, Jr., has been elected to the position of Chairman and President of the Original L.C. Anderson Alumni Association National Executive Committee. This is a high honor, as our classmates and schoolmates elected him to this national position July 4, 2009, as we celebrated its the school’s 100 year anniversary.

Johnnie Fowler Johnson class of 1961 passed late Saturday night or early Sunday morning of a massive heart attack. Memorial Service will be held:

Friday, November 7, 2008 (her 65th birthday)

The OLCAAA Houston Chapter has officially received our 501(c)(3) federal exempt status from the Federal Government. Therefore we are now a tax exempt organization and we will able to extend our services and resources within the Houston area.
We are thankful to Mr. Michael B. Chambers for his consulting and assistance in achieving our “not-for-profit” exemption.
